Nicola Setari is a curator, writer and editor. His fields of research are contemporary art, visual culture and media studies, with a focus on iconoclasm in contemporary culture. His practice spans from magazine and book publication to exhibition making and teaching. He holds a PhD in the History of Architecture and Art Sciences (IUAV University Venice) and was an Agent of dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel. He also taught Visual Anthropology at the New Academy for Fine Arts (NABA) in Milan. In 2015 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Lieven Gevaert Centre and the curator of CONTOUR 7, the moving image biennale in Mechelen. Nicola Setari is currently Head of Research at the Intermedia Research Unit, as well as Head of the Visual Arts programme, of the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels.
