On February 4, 2025, Alexander Streitberger, will give a lecture: Expanded Landscapes. Panoramatische Kunst seit 1960 (Expanded Landscapes. Panoramic art since 1960).
The lecture explores various aspects of landscape representation within panoramic art since 1960. The following themes will be addressed:
- perception and environment (Michael Snow and Laura Mulvey/Peter Wollen),
- panoptic landscapes (Arno Gisinger and Jules Spinatsch)
- chrono-panoramas as fictional space-time palimpsests (Mark Klett, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster)
