Anja Isabel Schneider is a curator, writer and editor. She holds an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art and an MFA in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at UCLM (University of Castilla-La Mancha) and a member of the research group ARTEA-Research and scenic creation (Madrid) http://artea.uclm.es. Her research focuses on transdisciplinary art practices on the crossover between visual arts, performing arts and literature. From 2015–2020, she held a doctoral position in Curatorial Research at the Lieven Gevaert Centre, KU Leuven / M HKA, Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp as part of the research team Art Against the Grain of “Collective Sisyphus:” The Case of Allan Sekula’s Ship of Fools / The Dockers’ Museum (2010–2013), supervised by prof. Hilde Van Gelder.
