
Anja Isabel Schneider is a curator, writer, and editor. Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher (Centre national des arts plastiques (CNAP), Paris/Archives de la critique d'art (ACA), Histoire et critique des Arts de l'Université Rennes 2, and member of ARTEA (Madrid)). Her research focuses on transdisciplinary artistic practices at the crossroads between visual arts, performing arts and literature. She studied Literature in Los Angeles (UCLA) and Tübingen (Eberhard Karls Universität), as well as Art History (The Courtauld Institute of Art) and Curatorship (Goldsmiths, University of London) in London.
From 2015–2020, she held a doctoral position in Curatorial Research at the Lieven Gevaert Centre, KU Leuven / M HKA, Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp as part of the research team Art Against the Grain of “Collective Sisyphus:” The Case of Allan Sekula’s Ship of Fools / The Dockers’ Museum (2010–2013), supervised by prof. Hilde Van Gelder.
