
Nicoletta Grillo studied architecture at Politecnico di Milano and photography at CFP Bauer in Milan. She is currently pursuing a double PhD within the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at Politecnico di Milano and the Faculty of Arts at KU Leuven. Her PhD research investigates the in/visible elements at play in the production of so-called borderscapes, with a focus on the Swiss Italian border area, and the potential of photography in constructing counter-representations.
